About Leo: Leo was born in Japan and came to India for the first time at the early age of 1. At that young age, he became interested in Tabla. Leo started learning Tabla when he was 5 years old. He is the disciple of the great Tabla Maestro, Ustad Akram Khan Sahib, who belongs to Ajrada Gharana (he is the continuous 7th generation).
Leo performed his first concert at the age of 7 in a national heritage shrine in Japan. Later on, he also performed in various stages in India such as All India Radio (AIR), Door Darshan (TV show), Select City Walk (Saket), Bhiwadi (Rajastan, ministry of environment), Santigiri Ashram (New Delhi), IGNOU (on the occasion of wisdom education), Korean Caltural centre(New Delhi) and in various private house bhaitaks.
He recently returned from a tabla concert tour in Osaka-Japan.
Leo speaks Hindi, English and Japanese fluently. His desire is to promote Indian Music all over the world as well as to make Indians aware about the beauty and wonder of Indian classical music.
